At programmed times it leaves the charging station without human help and returns after each route. A full charge takes about 5 hours in total; it can operate up to 13 hours per day.
Its auger positions itself according to feed density, refreshes the feed and increases feeding frequency. Milk yield gains of up to 3% and a 1–4 year payback are targeted.
